can ask is "What are the goals and tasks that your program must perform?" We like to think of this as the wish list.
Any and everything is fair game for the wish list. If you want software that will detail the interior of your car, change the oil,
cut your grass or do spring clean up on your yard, put it on the wish list. The list is meant to be a free flowing place to put in
all of the items that you would like your software to do. They may not all make the final cut, and the examples we listed will not,
but we do not want you to leave anything out, no matter how silly or outrageous it may seem. This insures that you have gone well
outside the box in defining the requirements your new software must have.
After you have your wish list, the next step is to prioritize the items on your list. This breaks down the items into 3 catagories:
1) Must Have
2) Should Have
3) Nice to Have
Once you have placed the requirements into the 3 major catagories, they will need to be prioritized. This will assist in the
determination of what the base requirements will be of the initial delivery of the system, and what might need to wait
for subsequest releases. this will, of course depend on your timeline for delivery of the system and the urgency
you have to get the application into production.
