Tune up your PC

Most people take better care of their car than they do of their computer. An annual tune-up insures up-to date BIOS, drivers and security updates.

Computer Tune-Up

Most of us take good care of our cars and vehicles for one simple reason, if we don't we run the risk of them failing when we need them most. Your computer should be treated no differently. To insure that your computer is running at optimum performance, there are a number of things that can address potential problems and performance bottle necks in your computer.

We recently had a client who was experiencing graphic problems with their laptop after about a half hour of operation. As it turned out, their system had several critical BIOS updates released and they had not installed them. These updates corrected a problem with the integrated graphics chipset overheating. Without the fix, the chips overheated to the point of damaging them beyond repair. The solution to this problem required a new motherboard. If this system had not been under warranty, it would have been cheaper to replace the computer rather than pay for the new parts and labor required to install the motherboard.
